Practical Entrepreneur Seminar/Workshop

.
Practical Entrepreneurship Program - 2021

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Is the grass greener on the other side? Many would-be entrepreneurs are fascinated by the success, power, money, and fame associated with running their own successful business-like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Eric Yuan.

Unfortunately, more than 90% of start-ups end in failure leaving the founders disillusioned.

There is no guarantee that a start-up will be successful, no matter how much preparation and hard much work you put in. However, understanding the entrepreneurship process, thinking through the big issues, and clarifying your goals up-front can help to improve the odds of success, or allow you to evaluate the possible opportunity cost and identify whether you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

Our lead instructor, Y.P. Chan, is a serial entrepreneur, a mentor/advisor/investor to startups and an MBA teacher in both USA and China for the past 20+ years. He will share his rich learnings and experiences in the following key topics:
  • The life cycle of a start-up
  • Key issues, goals, and risks of start-ups
  • Setting the right strategy & mentorship
  • Executing the strategy
  • How VC works and Raising capital
  • Summary of entrepreneurship
