US-TAIWAN BIZ

The Taiwan Trade Center of Vancouver located in Vancouver, B.C. is a branch office of the Taiwanese partly governmental organization called the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).  They are a non-profit oganization promoting trade between Canada & US and Taiwan.  They provide free sourcing services and help companies in Canada & US do business with Taiwan.  Their parent company, TAITRA, is Taiwan's premier non-profit trade promotion organization sponsored by the Taiwan government and industrial/commerical organizations.  Over the past decades, TAITRA has developed a well-coordinated trade promotion and information network composed of a staff of over 700 trained specialists stationed in its headquarters in Taipei Taiwan.  To learn more about the organziation, please visit their website at www.taiwantrade.com.tw.

TAITRA has two online resources.  One is Taiwan Trade (http://www.taiwantrade.com.tw/), and the other one is Taipei Trade Shows (http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/).  Both of them have the English interface.  The Taiwan Trade has all kinds of resources from Taiwan.  The Taipei Trade Shows has the trade show information all year around.  There are more than 30 international trade shows.  Visitors (local companies) can learn from the most updated technology, see them in person, meet with the suppliers, and find their potential partners.  TAITRA also provide incentive programs to attract more companies to visit the trade shows.

As a trading office in Vancouver B.C., theTaiwan Trade Center offers offline services, meaning they will provide tailor made services for trading inquiries.  They will also help potential clients visit the trade shows by going over the trade show details and incentive programs.
