Chamber establishes Haiti earthquake relief fund account
The Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce Foundation has set-up a donation account at U.S. Bank in an effort to support the victims and relief effort underway following Haiti’s deadliest earthquake on January 12, 2010.
Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so at any U.S. Bank office in Washington or at any of the 3,015 U.S. Bank offices across the United States. Online donations are also accepted through Chinese Chamber’s website.
The Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce Foundation will forward 100% of the proceeds from all donations directly to the American Red Cross. For more information about the American Red Cross, please call 1-800-HELP-NOW or visit www.redcross.org. The American Red Cross name is used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
This is not the first time that The Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce has stepped forward with disaster assistance. It coordinated the Hurricane Katrina Fund Drive to support hurricane victims in New Orleans in Oct 2005, the China Earthquake Fund Drive in May 2008, and the Taiwan Typhoon Morakot’s attack in August 2009.
