Mona Locke, Washington State’s former First Lady, will emcee the evening’s events. Under the direction of Carolyn Kuan, the Associate Conductor of the Seattle Symphony, the Main Concert will move through orchestral pieces that encompass everything from Brahms and Strauss to Wada and Nie Er.
Two solo performances will highlight the program: Seattle Youth Symphony’s Korean prodigy, Paul Kim, playing the violin, and Music Director of the Washington Chinese Orchestra, Warren Chang, playing the Erhu, a two-stringed Chinese fiddle.
